meet me there lodge
A home away from home, the lodge offers a comfortable and relaxing stay in the heart of the festival. Fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves and wake up to the traditional songs of local fishermen.
bell tent
Sleep under the stars in our charming 4 or 5-man bell tents. Sitting on the sandy shores of the lagoon and shaded by swaying palm trees, here you are at one with nature. Each tent is decked out with mattresses and mosquito nets, with access to communal compost toilets and open air showers.
home stay
For adventure-seekers looking to immerse themselves in the Ghanaian way of life, now you can enjoy the festival through the eyes of a local. Homestay accommodation is basic but this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t forget in a hurry.

travel
Meet Me There African Home Lodge is located between the villages of Dzita and Dzita-Abledomi. It is a 3-hour drive from Ghana’s capital city Accra, and 2.5-hours from Togo’s capital Lome.
Travel from outside of Ghana:
Daily flights operate between a number of European cities and Accra. You will need to apply for a visa before you fly. More information on obtaining a Ghanaian visa can be found here.
It is a booking requirement to consult your doctor before travelling to Ghana. Your doctor is best equipped to tell you what injections you may need. We would suggest speaking to your travel nurse at least three months prior to departure.
Travel from Accra:
We will organise MMT Weekender buses for ticket holders. Bus times will be available nearer the time.
Alternatively you can book a private taxi or take a tro-tro (minibus) to Keta, followed by a 10-minute taxi to the lodge.
Travel from Lome:
Due to border control restrictions we will not be able to organise a bus from Lome. Please use public transport…
PLEASE NOTE:
Travelling at night
The road to Meet Me There is not lit up at night. Therefore, we advise you do not travel after dark. If your flight arrives later in the day, please spend a night in Accra before setting off in the morning.
Travel insurance:
It is a booking requirement that all travellers take out comprehensive travel insurance. All guests should be fully insured against accident, all medical eventualities, repatriation, cancellation, curtailment and default. It is a condition of booking that participants have a valid travel insurance policy to cover the entire duration of their trip. If you are unable to provide documentary evidence of valid insurance cover, your booking may be cancelled at the sole discretion of Meet Me There Weekender.
